"And while he lingered, the men (angels) took hold of his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city. So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for you life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains lest you be destroyed."
Genesis 19:16-17
We serve such an awesome God. Our God has no part with evil, darkness or immorality. He rescues us from such things, sometimes sending angels which look like men, to take us by the hand and lead us away from immorality, darkness, evil, impending judgment and destruction. Angels actually took Lot's family by the hand to lead them away from God's dealings with sin.
God of Grace, mighty in power, Mover of mountains, Maker of mountains, Sender of angels,
we give You praise and thanks for Your higher ways. Cause our faith to grow this day. Increase our prayer time and Bible time as we seek to listen to the divine teaching of Your Holy Spirit Himself.
Thank You for never leaving or forsaking us. Thank You for knowing when we need to be led by the hand away from judgment, trouble and destruction. May we see all sent to warn us, lead us and rescue us from ourselves and all evil. God help us know how much we need Your help! Thank You for Your intimate touch. Thank you that You intervene, You interrupt and You intercede. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
