Today is the 3rd of March, 2014, so my daily Bible reading begins in chapter 3 of Proverbs. The 31 chapters of Proverbs is a great way to read through this book once a month. Our Pastor Chuck went to heaven on the 3rd of October 2013. I love that those family members present as Pastor Chuck entered heaven, heard his last words and shared them with the church. We were told, he deliberately said, "all right!"
I noted this in my Bible at Proverbs 3:13: "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;" I like to remember Pastor Chuck's happy, easy smile.
More thoughts and commands from Proverbs 3:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 All right.
I'm so glad we have a place to put our trust. In the LORD. He is faithful, trustworthy and beyond. Let us refuse to put that trust into politicians, policies or anything else. Trust is powerful, it belongs in Him.
"Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones." Proverbs 3:7-8 All right.
Humility is so beautiful, like a rare, blaring, silent sunset. We all notice it, enjoy it's beauty, and it doesn't say a thing. May we do humility proud!!! Humility, our silent, pride killing, strength.
God of all grace, all comfort, all wisdom, all knowledge, all hope, our all in all, we come to You and take a deep breath of thanks. Thanks so much for always listening to us. Cause us to HEAR Your
instructions, whether to go the doctor, or not, or which one, when or who needs a ride to their doctor.
Thank You for giving healing ways to medical students, who become our doctors. We pray they all know You and seek to glorify You with their talents. We ask physical and spiritual healing today for all of us. Your touch is all we need. Thank You for our momentary light afflictions, that You waste nothing, and You are the Grower our faithfulness. Thank You for Your countless examples of humility found in You, Your word and Your ways. Make us BE humble, DO humble and KILL pride. Right now, we especially, want to thank You for Jesus our Passover Lamb, Lamb of God. Precious Lamb. Our Savior.
We seek to be found faithful and in the center of Your will. We want to live Your way. Please, Father, put us, anchor us in Your way. With You Jesus, everything is "all right." In Jesus matchless name, Amen.
