My definition of "Spiritual Elitism" is when a person puts his education, his thoughts and his ideas ABOVE scripture, BEYOND what God's words are saying and BENEATH what God intends. Simple.
Father God, creator of intellect, words and thoughts, we come to You asking you to form this prayer that we do not pray amiss. God, humble seminarians, professors and students seeking theological education and make them settle for nothing less than accurate, Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic Bible studies. Cause them to define their thoughts by YOURS. Eliminate all Bible teachers that are "off" and into the pride aspects of their own "educations" - please remove them from teaching. Grow discernment in all believers. Humble the proud. Cause our ministry efforts to build all and bruise none by Your Holy Spirit. By Your Spirit, please empower only the Bible teachers YOU choose. Please remove all the rest. Your ways are not our ways, they are so much higher. We entrust the study of Your word and those who teach us, to YOU! We seek the purity of Your heart, Your word and Your higher ways. We pray peace to Israel. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
