"WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?"

I believe Jesus knew then and Jesus knows now, exactly where our faith lies AND He wants us to KNOW, HE KNOWS!!! No wiggle room with faith. It's either in the right place or the wrong place.

Here is Luke 8:22-25 paraphrased by me.
He was making the disciples think about their comments. The disciples were afraid. They were in a boat when a windstorm came upon the lake. Jesus was in the boat sleeping. Water began to blow into the boat and they were in jeopardy. They went to Jesus and woke Him, telling Him they were dying.
He arose. He rebuked the wind and the raging water. Both ceased. There was calm.  Jesus was WTIH them physically, having performed many wonders and still they feared for their lives. They feared what they could see.

But Jesus SAID to them,"Where is your faith?"This is not really a question. To me this is a pointed yet gentle, "truth slap" to snap them out of their fear and back into faith. We all need a bit of holy slapping around from time to time as we look at circumstances instead of the author behind and in the circumstance. Reading the Bible with the Holy Spirit Himself, has metaphorically, given me many such redirecting holy slaps!  Have you ever felt these holy slaps, gently snapping you out of "stinking thinking"? I  have, lots of times.
"Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes will He really find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:8b
God cares about FAITH. He's available to redirect our faith all the time. We are just sheep you know. We wander. We have to decide to follow. Simple. Has to be simple, "sheep-simple."

Jesus KNEW where their faith had been placed. They had all witnessed so many, many healings and miracles by now yet and still, they "looked" upon their circumstances with natural eyes instead of spiritual eyes. Jesus was PRESENT WITH THEM IN THE BOAT. They took their eyes off Him, and became fearful. This caused Jesus to demand they think about where they are deciding to place their faith. This is always our choice in times of physical storms of trouble and fear.  Jesus KNOWS where our faith is, where it has been and where it will be. It is we who blink back and forth with our natural eyes and our spiritual eyes taking turns with us.  Steady spiritual eyes are a decision away.

God above all gods, maker of heaven and earth, beyond and yet beginner of time, the alpha and omega, You are right with us, closer than the air we breathe, please form this prayer so we don't pray amiss.  Thank You for your patient forgiveness every time we overlook You and magnify our problem our fear or our own thoughts over Yours.  You are right with us.  You never leave or forsake us.  You filter all that comes our way.  Nothing, no thing touches us that has not been allowed by You. You are sovereign over all.  Cause our faith to build. We seek to be humble, gentle, effective believers operating in the center of Your will, abiding always in all ways in Jesus. You heal us physically as no one else can, and Your concern remains for our faith. Where is our faith? "Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes will He really find faith on the earth?" God, strengthen our spiritual sight, with the spiritual eyes of faith You have formed for us. Help us avoid trying to "see" through fearful events without them, without our spiritual eyes.  Thank You for Your Holy, Redirecting, Gentile, Perfect Truth Slaps.  Thank You for never leaving us on our own to sink. We pray peace to Israel in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
