NOT Seen.

Our Pastor Chuck would teach us that "lasting faith does not come from experiencing the spectacular such as miracles and wonderful feelings" about something Christ has done. Lasting faith comes with believing while NOT seeing. Believing in the greater unseen reality where our God also always works!! Seen or unseen, God is at work. Certainly.

John 2:25b "He knew what was in man." John lets us know that Jesus knows which of us believes in Him always, lastingly when we cannot see anything of what He is doing, but we know He is doing everything.

"Faith is the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1

I think of pregnant mothers and their faith that in 9 months, a new life will be born. Mother's cannot see the baby, but by faith know, he or she will be born. They can see their bodies change, but can't see the baby with their own eyes, except now, in some cases by sonogram, we can view images of our babies.
Pregnancy to me is spectacular. It is a spectacular miracle of God, completely by His design, timing and plan for humanity. No random births. No mistakes. What we call a defect He may call perfect. He's God and we're not. Either we believe He's God or we don't.

Father God, author of all life, inventor of light, designer of the universe, healer of all our diseases and lover of our souls we come to You with thanks for being our Heavenly Father and for Your earthly plans for motherhood and multiplying humanity.  Thank You for my Mother that she is also fearfully and wonderfully made. Please heal and strengthen her physical frame as only You can do. We praise You for her faith in You and ask You strengthen and heal all aspects of her faith, peace and trust. Father, thank You for Your higher, greater plans for all of us. That Your thoughts are higher, deeper and wider than we can imagine and that Your thoughts of each of us are countless!!  Oh my. How blessed we are. Thank You for YOUR faithfulness and for causing our faith to last, grow, build and bring faithless people to You. Please give special love blessings to all mothers and children always and especially this Mother's Day. Please build the faith of all expecting mothers and all mothers of newborns. Cause them to depend on Your faithfulness, lastingly. Build them as only You can. May their faith grow to bless You. Would You also elevate and lift all loving earthly fathers who lead their families in faith. Please build and strengthen all earthly fathers in their faith. We depend upon the faith of our fathers, and especially Your faith, Father God, Father of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We pray peace to Israel. Amen.
