Church, "WAKE UP AND WISE UP"

Just my opinion, prayed through and Biblically based, but essentially,  just my own written thoughts.

I am convinced there are moral issues which have found their way into today's politics that the framers of our Constitution never intended to have happen.  How could they foresee that church going people, such as Ronald Reagan, would opt for abortion and sign abortion into California law? How could they foresee the vote for same sex marriage? The overturning of our multiple, majority, pro-marriage votes by a judge?  How could the framers foresee that these moral issues would become political footballs, used to disqualify capable men and women who are gifted administrators, defenders of freedom, growers of capitalism and thankful, supporters of the American way of life?

How could the framers foresee a churchgoing Ronald Reagan would decide to sign abortion into California State Law four months after he was elected in 1967? Why did he sign this bill? Did he not read it? Did he owe a certain voting block that helped elect him? Why did a church going, conservative man, do this this in the first place? Only God knows. God gifted Reagan in many areas of leadership.
God has gifted many flawed men and women just like the same as we are, to lead  America. Moral issues will never be legislated into holiness. Abortion does not consider unborn, rights or the father's rights. Marriage is God's plan, designed for a man to marry a woman. This doesn't change. People can marry each other, or their horses, or whatever, this will never change the fact that the covenant of marriage is God's, is holy and never changes. Laws can make things legal. Laws cannot make things right.

I say all this to urge people to vote for people, not based on past votes they regret, or past votes on issues that God never intended for us to VOTE ON.  For church to wake up and wise up in forgiving, wisdom and love. We, the church, have so much to be forgiven for and to move on from in order to be found loving. We need to have open arms toward women in crisis pregnancies. We must embrace the pew sitters who believe in sex before marriage and sex outside of marriage. We must come alongside the men and women who are confused about who they are, want to be with or marry. There are so many confusing moral issues our churches are very capable of sorting out.

Our hope is found in nothingness than Jesus and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

If you are truly bothered by immorality, don't rely on candidates, laws or elections. Pray. Act. Rely on the LIVING WORD and nothing less. God cannot fail. We win. Satan loses.  Never lose sight of the fact that SATAN is the king of immorality and exists to hunt souls.  Vote for the man or woman God has gifted in the areas we need His giftings most at that time. Be discerning enough to ask Him who that is and then vote according to His leadings. Our King has gifted and pre-selected the ones He wants us to elect. We give thanks for the freedom to seek our King's choices for us and then vote His way.
