FOR THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE,
AND HE WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON HIS SERVANTS. PSALM 135:14
Who and Wow. This psalm exhorts us to praise God. No problem. I cannot praise Him enough however! The above verse speaks about His compassionate, forgiving love for His treasure, Israel.
The Old Testament recordings of Israel's disobedience, idol worshipping and just plain out unfaithfulness typified by sins of all kinds reminds me of HIS DEPTH OF COMPASSION. It is limitless, bottomless and blindly equal.
Oh Holy, forgiving, compassionate God, how we worship You, praise You and lift Your name on high! Oh God, please forgive our lack of compassion. So many are so self defensive, self serving and selfish that they predominantly seem to demand compassion from You and others, yet have not ANY to give their offenders, friends and family. This teaches me that offenders can demand everything from You and others, but that You give, answer and send what You will, when You will it and with purposes designed by You. Receivers of compassion surely have so much more compassion to give, isn't that right Father? Receivers of forgiveness surely have so much more forgiveness to give, isn't that right Father? Oh, God, during times of uneasiness, uncomfortable times relationships go through, we are so grateful that You deliver what we need, irregardless of what we may ask or beg of You. We thank You. I know how much I need all of You, Your gifts and Your wise ways and to do them.
Still and all, Father God, I praise You for all the compassion You show me even this day. That as I receive, You grow in me, more passion for Jesus, for the Holy Spirit and for You. Thank You for giving me compassion, enough to give and give and give. You are the Giver of all good and great gifts.
I ask in the name of Jesus, that those without compassion, suffering selfish feelings of hurt and thereby delivering punishments, God that You would allow these people to LET YOU drench them in forgiving understanding, blanketed with compassion, producing greater faith and love for YOU. That they experience this wonderful flow of Your Spirit and cheer up, heal up and live loved forevermore.
We pray peace to Israel. Amen.
