Sustained trials test trust. Faith is the target. Trust, Obey and Pray.
I've counted roughly 76 questions marks in chapters 38 to 42 contained in the book of Job. All 76 questions were asked by God, and most of them answered by God using more questions. How I love that God invented questions, knowing Jesus is always our answer. The rest of the book of Job shows us a sort of unholy questioning as well. We see Satan suggesting hopelessness, fear, doubt and worry throughout Job's battle to remain faithful. Studying the book of Job seems like studying faith, going from the shallows to the depths of faith. I love this book. We see God invented questions knowing Jesus is always our answer, but Satan is allowed to suggest darkness filled, lying and hopeless questioning all the while attacking Job's flesh, family and faith.

Satan suggests darkness filled, prayerless, misleading questions in order to rob, steal and destroy. His questions produce chaos, lies, wars and death. He is Apollyon, Destroyer and Father of Lies.
What to do? Pray. Sometimes it's great to pray His word right back to Him with a couple pronoun personalizations:
Oh HOLY, most Able and Awesome God, we come to You to form and inform our prayer by Your word. Please turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way, from Psalm 119:37; The entrance of Your word gives light; It gives understanding to the simple, from Psalm 119:130; Though You slay me, yet I will trust in You, from Job 13:15; I know that You can do everything and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You, from Job 42:2. Make me like Jesus. Cause enemy questioning to be more easily recognizable from Your own questions, as we grow more prayer full and wiser.
Today we pray that You cause Your word to be written on our hearts, that we might be organized by it. That You open the ears of our hearts to Your word, before we open our minds to worthless thoughts and words suggested by Satan. God, we want YOU to define and realign the issues in our lives. Cause us to settle for nothing less than Your perspectives since You've designed each of our trials not for harm, but for good, for those of us who love Jesus. Your opinion is the only one that matters. Your mercies are new every morning and great is Your faithfulness when our faithfulness is under attack. Please help us ask faith building, holy, prayer full questions and avoid the barrage of faith-killer questioning launched by Satan from afar, which always produces fear, doubt and worry, at least! Make us wiser everyday to the unholiness that lurks upon this planet. You are our shield, our defense and the mighty tower we can run into and be safe. Cause us to be wiser little sheep today, than we were yesterday.
