He RULES and is our RULER and the MEASURE or JUDGE of all.

Man's sphere is comprised of the unwise. We find in man's sphere, pride builders who are "self commenders" as well as "self condemners" without a FIRST THOUGHT of God.  Big problem our first thoughts!!! First thoughts are often first responses and can be a bit wicked. Godless responses display a prideful countenance seen by all. We are warned not to be prayerless, thoughtless or quick to speak. It's for our own good and His glory.

Psalm 10:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
God is in NONE of his thoughts.

Self commenders and condemners, compare themselves to themselves. They are builders of personal spiritual resumes and self boasters or roasters, without comparing themselves to Jesus and His cross.

His cross, the cross of Christ, IS our ONLY measuring stick. He RULES.

"For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, ARE NOT WISE. We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us - a sphere which especially includes you. We are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority did not extend to you). For it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; not boasting of things beyond measure, that is, in other men's labors, but having hope that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly ENLARGED BY YOU in our sphere, TO PREACH THE GOSPEL in the regions BEYOND YOU, and not to boast in another man's sphere of accomplishment. But he who glories let him glory in the LORD. For not he who commends himself is approved, BUT WHOM THE LORD commends." 2 Corinthians 10:12-17

All mighty, Ever present, the One who is and was and is coming again, may we NEVER move into self righteous humanism where we believe mankind is kinder than You. Straighten believers out who move away from Your authority. Put them in YOUR word and drench them with the freeing truths of YOUR character, YOUR promises and YOUR action plans. Help us always honor the cross and all Jesus did there, understanding it's His obedience we are to imitate. Thank You for the greatness of salvation. Show us how to LIVE in it, GIVE out the gospel and make You smile. We worship You and YOUR love for all especially that You want none to perish. Remind us always that PRAYING is ACTION and a very important, VERB.  Amen.
