Stop. Pray. Seek and Find.

"By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom." Proverbs 13:10

This sounds so basic. Yet pride is so basic. Seeking wisdom is the rarer thing. We often rush into a thing, before researching the pros and cons. Unwise. Pride-driven, prayerless decision making produces strife. Stop. Pray. Seek and find the wise counsel God points out for us. Go to those people. Begin to examine the pros and cons with experienced others. Work at wisdom. Then decide as God leads. The timing will then be right for a righteous outcome. To do less is unwise.

Lessons we learn over and over again, by pride, by prayerlessness and by rushing headlong into a decision without counsel.

Father of all wisdom, thanks. Thanks that You never leave us alone, to our own devices. No! That is a choice for which we volunteer, way too often!  We are so sorry and repent now of this unwise behavior. Please replace our prideful, prayerlessness with full humility, broadened prayers and enlightened hearts which put You first in all things. Fill our powerless places with Your power, our unwise places with Your wisdom and allow us to walk worthy, worshipping Your mighty heart of all goodness!
You are light, love, hope, peace, wisdom and more. You are beyond, beyond.  Thanks God. You are so patient with us. We love You. We need You. We pray peace to Israel in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
