The Bible talks…

Check this out. Simply put, Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. It provides perhaps the best reasons ever written, to do Bible study.  Our conflict is our sin nature. We are by nature rebellious and not obedient. So, this Psalm, when I read it quietly, all alone in the house, it seems to almost talk out loud! It's like a conversation with my heart and spirit. I feel like God is letting me notice some of what He notices, about us! He's so revealing. So, check this verse out:
"The proud have forged a lie against me, But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart." Psalm 119: 69.  This is God noticing, innocent people have lies, forged against them by the proud, and our chosen response is to keep God's precepts wholeheartedly, in the midst of such lies. I love this. No one was more innocent than Jesus. Look at the lies that perpetually swirl around Him. Lies are forged in hell because lies always attack truth. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. This doesn't change. The attack doesn't change. What must change is faith in Jesus and not in lies.

God, help. Form and inform our thoughts and prayers. Teach us when to reach You in prayer, and reverse wrong thoughts, redirected by Your Holy Spirit to larger truths. We are such simple sheep.
We need You Lord. We praise and thank You for Your WORD. Thanks for speaking to our hearts. Thanks for Your numberless thoughts, Your sent thoughts,  present and all around us…for us to catch, own and do. Wake our numbed thinking, our sleeping pride which wakes whenever poked, and redirect our steps, words and ways perfectly into Your momentary will for us. May we be found faithful and abiding when You return to earth. Until then, cause us to be prayer aware and worthy of Your name, Christian. We cannot be worthy, without being wholeheartedly Yours. We pray peace to Israel in the matchless name of Jesus as we see evil coming to their borders, such as we have not yet seen. Amen.
