It's best to contemplate what the "Amen" has to say. He decides when we are, lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, nor humble or gentle. He considers and pities us, when sinning in pride and self-righteousness, thinking we can perfect anything of ourselves or in others. How amazingly brazen of us.
A prayer of David:
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands." Psalm 138:7-8
A concern of Jesus:
"And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God; "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are luke warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth." Revelation 5:14-16
A prayer of mine:
Please remove the infection of self-perfection from our intentions. Redirect our faith into Holy reliance upon Your all mighty, humility.
Please remake us anew, this day, Your way. In the precious name of Jesus, and for His sake.
I feel like we need to further, repent for our prideful, self righteous ways. Those ways we've tried to achieve perfection in ourselves or dreadfully, in others. We need to remember, how You accept us just as we are, but love us too much to leave us this way.
Perfect and expand our mindfulness and dependence on the many names of Jesus. He's the Living Word, Salvation, the Consolation of Israel, the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of the Streets to Dwell in, Hosanna, Messiah, our Amen and so much more! God, Your Son is our all. It's in His name, we pray, asking that You send Peace, to Israel. Amen and Amen.
"But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away." 1 Corinthians 13:10….
