Desolation of a Nation...or... Restoration of a Nation?

God's love for Israel, and Christians grafted in, is EXCEPTIONAL. No other love competes. God's love is supreme. Chapter 20 of Ezekiel grabbed me by the heart and spirit. God's covenant with Israel is unbreakable, but His heart, I believe it can ache and break a little. Ezekiel 20 shows Israel's constant acts of idolatry, turning their back on God, prostituting their talents to the world, instead of glorifying God with them, led them to abominable behaviors and actions. Unlawful, unfair and inhuman acts, including cannibalism, and passing their children through the fire, were performed by this nation, once upon a time. God warned them against all of it, yet they perisisted growing in sin.

Repeatedly they chose sin, instead of, Him.They defiled themselves, rebelled against their loving Heavenly Father God and suffered ruin, yet He returned, His withdrawn hand, to them, repeatedly.

"Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness."
Ezekiel 20:17

Father God, withstood all their rebellion, and repentance saved, ultimately delivered them from their own abominations and desolation. He judged their evil sometimes with angry wrath, but never allowed them total destruction. God hates, and sometimes purges sin, but loves the sinner.

I'm so grateful for the Bible scholars who teach God's word with simple, purity from Genesis to Revelation. Am grateful they have taught me how to love, learning His word, with Him, in Him, by Him and for Him. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in America. I'm firstly grateful for God's saving love, that He so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten Son to save us from sin, and restore the damages sin brings. Believing John 3:16 = Salvation.

Ezekiel 20 illustrates predominant sins of a nation, similar to the sins of today, which America suffers. Today, America's national problems are fought, not by faith and prayer, but by pride, lust for power, adoration of intellect and love of lies combined with false teachings. The loving and perpetuating of deceptions, defiles individuals and the nation, causing national divisions. This all began with decades of OPEN rebellion against God. Families have become divided, starting to fight with one another by shooting false political and social narratives at each other. Trust is murdered.

God's living word, never dies, teaching us to speak to one another in psalms and verses, preferring one another, encouraging and building one another up. But pride, love of lies, and spiritual weakness has produced an opening for Satan's oppression to flourish. Only God's love, rises, strengthens and energizes tired souls, overcoming all deceivers, accusers and destroyers. Families can reunite, in Him.

Am grateful America has set aside a national holiday for Thanksgiving. Praying fervently that we once again become a grateful nation, to God, instead of a hateful nation, ignoring God. Recognizing all blessings flow from Him. We are not entitled to even the air we breathe! It's all a glorious unmerited gift. Salvation the greatest gift of all, unmerited, sins erased, by our King Jesus, who suffered and died, rising on the third day from the dead, alive now and always, making intercession for us. We need Him, and He's silently with us, never leaving or forsaking us.

How Thankful we must daily be, knowing that we are still, one nation UNDER GOD, that whatever we're under, He is over.

Let us FAITHFULLY undertake, by faith, Bible study, prayer and goodness, for the RESTORATION of our NATION. As we strengthen in resolve to serve God's word, may we reunite there, in His word. God's word is globally, universally, uniting while dividing right from wrong, and clearly defining sin. It warns of us evil doings and equips us to overcome evil with good, wisdom over foolishness and love over hate. God's word teaches order overcomes chaos, and He's king. Humans governing humans is not God's heart or plan for us. Him as King, leading us all, loving us all, is His plan. Yet knowing we'd reject authority, the Bible is a wonderful study of human government.

America is still, in 2018, one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. REPENTANCE IS STILL AVAILABLE TO ALL, FREELY IN AMERICA. I pray we all become great friends with Jesus's offerings of repentance, restoration rebuilding and renewals of body, mind, spirit and nation! Let revival come, and let it begin in every hopeless heart, tired heart!

Bottom line, Ezekiel and all of scripture points to Salvation from sin. Jesus is Salvation. He is our ALL MIGHTY, living Lord, limitless in justice, power and love. He saves to the uttermost. Jesus is the answer to anger, defilement, rebellion and all that desolates. Jesus protects, while Satan accuses. By Jesus, Christians are grafted into the nation of Israel, His treasure. How America treats Israel today, is high on God's heart! I ask this blessing on our nation, that all politicians and pastors, realize, believe, and practice the beauty, the fairness, the farsightedness, the warnings, the reasons for the promises and SHARE THE GOOD NEWS TO ALL, that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!
