The writers and signers of America's Constitution were of multiple faiths, and no faith! Yes there were atheists, as well as Christians and Jews. The Biblical world views of the Christians and Jews, became the basis, the very foundation of the governance, of our country. Today in 2019, Americans are largely without knowledge of the Bible, American history or the Constitution, as these subjects have all but been removed from school curriculums, decades ago. Many pulpits have abandoned Bible teaching, so that Biblical ignorance predominates many church families. Today's praying Christians, plug a great hole in the fabric of America's FAITHFULNESS, performing intercessory prayer. Intercession is a most powerful "interrupter, and intervener" known to humanity! We all need prayer, and need to learn how to pray, as Jesus prayed. Jesus did not simply pray against evil, but He called out, the "evil one," stated in Luke 11:4d. As regards 2019's lack of respecting Authority, humans have fought authority since the Garden of Eden. Humans have sought equality or superiority to All Mighty God! Sadly, we humans, do not lack pride. We often listen to our Lawless Accuser, Satan, who leads rebellious, self-promoting fights, against Authority. God is Author of and Authority over all, and loves us so much, He sent us His only begotten Son, to save us from our prideful, evil sinning. One day, God will bring the devil down, in His timing. Until then, God's word provides all the faith building, heart strengthening, mind expanding knowledge, warnings, encouragement, guidance and job assignments we could ever ask! We're given many humans, to love, and pray to Christ. God has given us much to do for one another like encouraging, fellowshipping and working alongside one another, enjoying the abundance of salvation as well as spreading the gospel, during these darkening days. "Great is His faithfulness" Lamentations 3:23
Pray especially, to be found faithful, because Jesus is the Coming One, after all, over-all, ever-present and coming again! We have today, and every reason to trust, exalt, worship and love, always and only, Him! May we respond to Him always in pure love, faith and thanks, ready to follow Him!
