America’s original sin isn’t racism by wealthy privileged white guys. America’s original sin is the same as Ethiopia’s or Japan’s or anywhere else. It is the pride driven rejection of God’s word. It’s what Eve did in Eden. She listened to and obeyed Satan when God had already voiced His terms to her and Adam. The motivator, to disobey, was the same pride which made Lucifer fall from heaven. Pride is the original sin according to my understanding of God’s word.
I've learned to be aware, and so say now beware, of any opinions about America's original sin. Many books, and lectures are politicized on the subject of sin. This appeals to many who may be termed, the uneducated. Those who never bought, sought nor were they ever taught, actual, archived, congressionally recorded, American history, nor were they taught the Bible exegeticaly, precept upon precept. So sin becomes a victim of politicization, rather than a engine, bringing sinners to understand the difference between pride and humility, truth and fiction, sin and salvation and pride and self-death! Sin is allowed for God's reasons. Perhaps it's because sin, can be such a powerful push toward understanding the evil energy pride generates. Studying sin, can be a great Bible study, where we can find how God, "terms it and terminates it!" God's terms are not exclusive. According to God, there are NO intellectual elites. The mind of Christ is available to all of us. God's terms are His word, which is open to everyone, everywhere in the world, who earnestly, seeks, His voice! He sends us the Holy Spirit to tutor us, and be with us always....thank God!
