Can't tell you how much I love Acts 17:16 thru 34! God uses Paul to change the world, through His living word, putting the world right side up, with 12 men and His all powerful WORDS. Acts 17:26 "NUKES RACISM" declaring God "has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth." It has been thought, that RACISM is a term born in HELL, destructive to the goodness and power of BROTHERHOOD.
I love how Athenians and Paul were Aristotelian. My personal favorite Greek philosopher, Aristotle, taught: "Clear communication begins, with careful analysis and understanding of your audience." The above painting is of Paul reasoning at the AREOPAGUS, speaking to the men of Athens, who religiously worshipped idols, gods and mythological thought.
Therefore we reason asking, who understands humans better than God? No one! This is why scripture speaks so clearly and DIRECTLY to all. We can't get to God through popes or Princeton educated pastors. There's only ONE way to God Jesus. "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
Holy Spirit is supreme, above all human attempts to teach or systemize scripture and He's immediately available to us, at all times. Few pastor-teachers are gifted expositors, but they do exist! Choose your pastor-teacher carefully, pray and ask God to stir your understanding. Enjoy God's questions as in Job 38-42. They teach, reach and preach!
