Can't sleep?

Can't sleep so well lately?
Keep sound wisdom and discretion; So they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked WHEN IT COMES; for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught....Proverbs 3:21b-26. Sleep sweetly dear saint, safe in His arms

Keeping sound wisdom and discretion is hard work. Deceptions swirl around every thought. So grateful for God's presence and His presents. We need to receive every gift He gives so that we do not mistakenly receive, deceiving deadend ideas. When we're told to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, remember how much He sweated blood before He relinquished His will to God's will, to suffer as no one every has, or ever will, to accomplish what no MAN or false god could ever do. He was fully human and fully God, our perfect sacrifice who paid our sin debt, once and for all, for all time. Let's continue to focus on Jesus, His walk, His way and His astonishing mental obedience which finished sin for us INSTEAD of the wickedness and uncertainty swirling about us. Both of those things seem to be increasing every day.

God, please give us the mental strength to do the obedience of Christ. We are naturally disobedient and weak. Even so, we seek to accomplish Your will amidst today's swirling wickedness and uncertainty. We love and need You more each day. Thank You for Your grace, which is always sufficient. We ask these things in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
