INDESTRUCTIBLE JOY is a fortress of love, standing on a wooden cross.

The JOY of SAYING SO, SPREADS THE GOSPEL and MULTIPLIES HIS JOY!!!

Today I was looking at the joy of Jesus, what is His joy? I went past the usual answers and found that I think His joy is all wrapped up in His ability to redeem us. Our redemption brings Him joy. When we get redeemed, we are so happy. I think that's when He puts His joy in us, according to John 15:11: "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain IN YOU, and that your joy may be full." Seems He wants us to know "perfect joy." Only Jesus had the call and ability to accomplish salvation. His bloody, substitutionary death on a wooden cross was His holy, most high, job description. He did it for us, the joy set before Him. He conquered sin an death because we couldn't. No greater love.

Then He teaches about love saying: "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you." WOW.  He's an open book to us, Jesus, our Living Word.

I think that, "Redeeming joy," is where He wants us to live. "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so!" Psalm 107:2. This whole psalm is a great place to regain perspectives the world can crush away during the day. His, INDESTRUCTIBLE JOY, is a fortress of love, standing on a wooden cross. "For I know that my Redeemer lives!" Job 19:25.

My takeaway on the joy of Jesus is that His joy, is redeeming joy. His joy is us, His redeemed. He puts His redeeming joy into us upon our salvation. This "input" joy then moves us to love one another and tell one another of our Redeemer, and that He lives. We say so! Saying so, spreads the gospel! As more people come to Jesus for redemption, His joy increases. So, the joy of Jesus results in our saying so, that we are redeemed with great joy and thanksgiving. People will hear our joy. Many will come to trust in Jesus. War wounded, battle weary believers will also hear His joy, as we say so! With renewed joy, the wounded will find their way back into His healing, renewing, fortress of love.

Father of all joy, grace, mercy, redemption, saving love and more, help us, Your redeemed, be able to mightily, SAY SO. Please guide us in authentic ways to increase Your joy.
We ask these things in the precious, matchless name of Jesus. We also pray peace to Israel. Amen.
