One Way, Won by One, One at a time…..

"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26 This was Jesus answering a question. The question came after Jesus taught how hard it is to enter heaven. They then asked astonished, "Who then can be saved?" The chapter goes on to say in my own words, everyone can be saved but only few will be saved. The way we are all saved is, one at a time. Only God saves.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "assuredly, I say to you that, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." When His disciples heard it they were greatly astonished, saying "Who then can be saved?" But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:23-26

There was a style of gate, an ancient security gate used during the time of Jesus. It was called a needle gate. This was because only one person could pass through it at a time, just like threading a needle. Only one thread goes through the eye of the needle at a time. Camels are bigger than we are. Jesus was saying that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than enter the kingdom of heaven, than it is for a rich man. Why so hard for the rich to enter heaven? God says it's impossible to enter heaven without Him. Jesus said to him, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6. Narrow is the way. One way, one at time, we enter faith in Christ.

Jesus is the Way. We thank You God, for canceling our sin, sending us Jesus and allowing us to put our faith, trust, hearts and lives into Him. May all those who will be saved, become saved this day, that they might begin to know the life giving, life loving, life preserving and life altering ways of Jesus. What a Savior! So grateful He died for me, that I might live for Him. Amen.
