Psalm 10 The Ways of the Wicked - The Overwhelming Good News

Psalm 10 broken down by me!

10:2 The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
Here I see described, pride-filled, prayerless people. Those who are plotting evil and permission for us to pray a backfire-prayer, "Let the wicked be caught in the plots which they have devised."
10:3-7 For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. He has said in his heart, "I shall not be moved; I will never be in adversity. His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity."
Here I see SELF PROMOTING POWER SEEKERS. They are not checking in with God for His guidance or to accomplish God's will, because GOD IS IN NONE OF THEIR THOUGHTS. They are so proud and self sufficient, that they lie instead of pray, and end up preying on the people.
10:8 He sits in the lurking places of the villages; Perhaps this describes today's bars, and saloons.
In the secret places he murders the innocent; Perhaps this describes today's baby-murdering-abortion clinics, hospitals and rest homes where the sick and elderly choose euthanasia.
10:9 He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; he catches the poor when he draws him into his net. So he crouches, he lies low, That the helpless may fall by his strength. Perhaps this describes the evil we don't see coming. Perhaps this describes the phone scammers, computer hackers, drug dealers, pimps, human traffickers and all those who target the unsuspecting.

THE WICKED POSSESS NO ACCOUNTABILITY. ZERO ACCOUNT-ABILITY.
10:12 Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, "You will not require an account."

The good news is that our KING oversees all, and in Him we overcome all. He is our PROVISION.
We are NOT walking BLINDLY. We have been provided, prophetic gifts of His vision, 'pro-vision.' 10:14 But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. Perhaps we may see as He sees, if we ask  and listen, by faith.
10:16  The LORD is King forever and ever; The nations have perished out of His land. I like to see here that He is over all we are under. He is the nation raiser, mover and lifter.
10: 17 You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more. Am so grateful to look to and see God, who is goodness, hears us, prepares us and causes us to serve Him through all injustice to do and be just to those abused and used by evil.

The Overwhelming Good News of Salvation
When observing and experiencing, today's pressures and presence of evil, I'm sent to 2 Corinthians 4:7-9. Am encouraged to see how believers are allowed to be cast down, but by faith, remain unconquered. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed - always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
2 Corinthians 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written….
Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

The overwhelming Good News, is that we are His, saved by Grace, and that we all possess the same spirit of faith, His, the resurrected King! That's power. It's ours. We are His possession and He won't let go.
