Forgiveness is on my mind. Praying we all understand how many times a day, we need it, perhaps most especially during political seasons. Many jump to conclusions, thinking they feel qualified to assign spiritual definition and meaning to the "words" of those they've never met, nor ever will personally, "know." Right now Donald Trump, who has gone to church all his life, believes in God, and is often asked, about his thoughts on forgiveness. Presbyterians are notoriously private about their faith, so I've noticed how difficult it is for him to be publicly and accurately candid about this subject. God help him!
What a great opportunity for we, the saved, to humbly lift those struggling with forgiveness and salvation. Forgiveness, how we all need it, especially during political seasons! Prayer brings clarity and perspective. I ask, and He points. He shows me who needs eyes, lifted to Him, and who needs prayer. Jesus is praying right now, so I ask Him, that my prayers may splash into His ongoing stream of intercession. God is working on us all, all the time, His way for His glory and our good….Thank You God!
Father, help us imitate You, Your mercy, love and goodness. Forgive us for the judgmental ways we display without asking for forgiveness ourselves! Humble this nation, and especially, Your kids, us! We seek to be authentic representatives of Your heart, Your higher ways and Your inclusive, salvation, available to all, who will believe You. Thank You that You already know the plan You have for American politics, warfare, the faith of Americans, and the health and welfare of this country. Please allow us to SERVE YOU DAY BY DAY….in every way, forgiven and enabled to give forgiveness as You lavish us with Your forgiving love. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
