In Your Sight

Even so, Father, for so it seemed good IN YOUR SIGHT.  Matthew 12:26  (Jesus talking)

7 Times in the first chapter of Genesis GOD SAW.  First God SAID -  speaking creation into existence and then GOD SAW.  Usually God's Word -  what God SAID - is what is highlighted to my heart when I study His word.  Today, I saw - GOD SAW.  In Matthew, Jesus talks about the goodness in HIS SIGHT.
1 Time in the first chapter of Genesis God tells us to SEE, in verse 29, actually !

So these thoughts of seeing, what God saw and the goodness in His sight caught my heart and warmed it.  I'm having mammography today as part of my annual well woman screenings recommended by my doctor.  I'm reminded of how man takes a 'look see' by x-ray and other machines to see inside of us.  To peer into unlit places inside us that only God presently sees, that God made and that  God has always seen.  This pattern of 'God said' and 'God saw' then God telling us to 'See' makes me feel so loved.  Truly He has made all there is.  He made us.  We are His.  Whatever is going on in us is His.  What is, is His. No worries.  We may have the 'white coat' anxiety because we are human.  I have a doctor friend who when she sees the doctor that takes care of her exams, also understands this 'white coat' anxiety.  Human.  Without anxieties to give Him, we'd be self-sufficient sheep without need of a shepherd !
'Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.' 1 Peter 5:7

So today as I undergo mammography I'm reminded to give thanks for the screenings God makes available today for preventative care.  More importantly, to know that  no part of me is outside of His sight.   I'm also reminded of Genesis 1 where 7 times 'God saw' and once he tells us to 'See'.  Here I'm sensing it's 7 times more important that I consider what God 'Sees' as compared to what doctors 'See' or I 'See' because, my peace is in the fact that God is watching me.  All of me is in His sight.  His watchings over us keeps us alive, gives us direction and protection.  Our eyes are to be on Jesus always, everywhere He leads us.  It's all about 'looks' !  Where are we looking ?   To fear or to faith ?  To truth or lies ? To Jesus or to the world ?  To Ease or Dis-EASE ?  Choices.  For God has not given us a spirit of
fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7

We walk by faith and not by sight.  We pray without ceasing and give thanks in all things.  We praise
His holy name and depend on the miraculous promises printed in His word and imprinted on our hearts
and lives.  May my life show Him today - well beyond x-rays !   May my God be magnified.  Amen.
