"New Works" and "Savior Behavior"

"Almost always God will go outside the organized religious systems to begin a new work.  Calvary Chapel started as a movement that was truly a fresh work, outside the scope of most other churches around at the time. But if the Lord tarries, and He takes me home before the rapture, I hope no one tries to institutionalize what God has done at Calvary Chapel.  I don't want anyone saying, "When Chuck was here…" or "This is the way Chuck did it." We always want to avoid the stiffening effect of tradition, and as I have always said, "Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be broken." May God help us to be flexible." from page 1290 in the Word for Today Bible, referring to the old and new wineskins teaching found in Mark 2:22.

I believe Pastor Chuck would simply LOVE the new work we see happening at church since he entered heaven. I believe Chuck would strongly encourage us to continue following Jesus closely, and to be found faithful, positioned IN HIS new works, now being accomplished by the Holy Spirit Himself!

New Works cause us to "flow and flex."  May we become flow-able and flex-able as we purpose in our hearts to serve Jesus in the most relevant ways possible!!!

God of all Grace, Worker of all good and great things, Mover and Maker of all mountains, we come to You IN prayer.  Please form and conform our prayer to the intercession Jesus is presently offering on our behalf. We don't know how to pray as we ought. We need You in all parts of our daily life. Father, we ask You to make us "FLEX--ABLE" as You accomplish new works. We ask You for more grace, mercy, unconditionalness, and more love. We want to banish any reputation some christians have for being harsh, opinionated, judgmental and stuck in the past appearing so irrelevant.

Please give us favor with unbelievers. God remove all unbelief from us. Make us live as Jesus lives so that we behave like Him. Give us the heart to embrace and behave like Christ. Reform us to look like Jesus. May we do "Savior Behavior" all moments of our lives. Make us beautiful feet to bring the gospel into dark hearts. Give our countenances makeovers by removing our fleshly assumptions and replace them with spiritual sight and insights. Make us pleasant, peace loving, giving, unassuming, humble, cheerful gospel living family members. Cause us to "word walk with Jesus" every step of our day. Engage us in service starting in our families first. Grow our worship, prayer awarenesses and deepen our hearts with loving understanding. Cause us to be found in the light, shining. We pray peace to Jerusalem. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

SAVIOR BEHAVIOR

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,

HOW TO DO SPIRIT LED AND SPIRIT FED LIVING
I CALL SAVIOR BEHAVIOR

SELF die and flesh deny all
day long, praying out everything.

SACRIFICE your opinions, your
rights, your words, replacing yours
with His.

SUBMIT your heart to His heart
seeking to please only His heart.

SEE Jesus, see His truth and His
hand working through everything.

STAY abiding in Him, don't
move into "apartment" (sin),
stay in "abidement".

STUDY His word, asking
Him to write it on your life,
living listening to Him.
