ANGER is the largest part of the word DANGER. When we're angry and wrath full, we overflow that anger and we become the DANGER-US, or Dangerous.
Anger produces bad unrighteous yields. Anger or wrath does not belong in our hearts. It usually comes out if it is already there. Not good. Suddenly our anger moves us, and we become the DANGER-US, or dangerous. We speak angrily without prayer, or thoughtfulness of others, we just unload our anger often accusing others, blaming others for "making us mad" or for "being rude" to us. We take offense instead of give grace. Our choice, giving or taking. Giving grace is always righteous. Being selfless helps to give grace. We are told not to give or take offense. I can truly say, I offend others by accident! No intention on my part, but there can still be offense from me, for which I am always so sorry.
Becoming instantly angry is always dangerous. Blood pressures spike and worse.
Sometimes we respond prayerfully, or selfishly, angrily, cluelessly and just plain wastefully. "Prayerfully," works for me. When I see anger right before me, instantly I shoot up an arrow "help" prayer. Instantly He shows His unconditional love for both the offended and the one accused of offending. Then one of my favorite books, comes to mind, specifically, James, where God advises me
and I then must instantly decide to take His advice or not. I want to be advised and made wise.
"So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." James 1:19
Thank You God for the righteousness You yield in our lives, the righteousness You produce when we listen, pray and are then able to avoid the wrath of man, and run into You, our strong tower. We can, from the strong tower, see wrath more clearly, and pray it away. I also pray, no lasting damage is caused in the angry one who becomes instantly angry, whether it be physical damage or relationship damage. You are so good. Thank You for causing beauty from ashes. Amen.
