The book of Job shows Satan firstly accusing Job, then attacking his character. Throughout these attacks, Job kept his faith on God, unwaveringly. Jesus went through this multiple times during his trials before the cross.
Faith anchoring….
Job 13:15 "Thou He slay me, yet I will trust Him."
Self control secret……silence
Exodus 14:14
The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. (He fights for me when I keep silent!)
Shouting Grace to it, reduces the mountain to a plain, capped off by our Jesus.
Zechariah 4:6-7
"This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabbel:
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,
Says the LORD of hosts.
Who are you, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring for the capstone
With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!"
God of all grace, abundant in mercy, all mighty in power, Maker and Mover of Mountains, Repairer of
the Breach, Reconciler of all Righteous Ways we come to You needy, asking and listening. Please
form and inform our prayers. We seek to be more like Jesus. Would You continue to be the capstone of
all our manmade issues? Would You make us continually prayerful? Would You put a guard over our
mouths and shield our hearts from woundings? Would You cause us NOT TO strike back when
attacked? Remind us to operate in the "self-control gift," described in Galations. Bring Corinthians 13 to mind during these attacks as well. Sometimes we lose perspective, the eternal perspective in the now.
enemy, to divide believers, especially. Satan is our Accuser. Accusations are his. Jesus is our Excuser
by Grace, Mercy and Compassion. Character attacks are also never of YOU. They are from hell itself.
You alone judge our character, as You alone see our hearts. We are to be free from judging others especially when mountain building attacks are eminent.
Please show us the POWER of Your Grace. How by faithfully shouting Grace to it, the mountain turns into a plain. You are the Maker of mountains. We are not. You are so patient with us. Please restore what the locust has eaten when the breach has lasted too long. Jesus, You are Reconciliation. We yearn to reconcile with our mountain makers. Please teach us all we must learn through these, "Grace shouting" times. Thanks for the models of Job and Jesus. "Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips." Thanks God for perspective.
Thank You God for never leaving us defenseless. You are our defense. We pray peace to Israel as the middle east is trying to build a terrorist state in their neighborhood. Thank You for loving Israel as Your chosen people, Your treasure and that we have been grafted into the vine, thanks to Jesus. Thanks for forgiving our mountain building sins when we make problems where there are none. Thank that You are there, ready to save us from ourselves, always by Your Grace. Amen.
