ARE WE HAPPY?

Happy are the people whose God is the LORD! Psalm 144:15b

Are we happy? Are we happy when we ask God questions and He answers His way and maybe not how we might want Him to answer us? Or is our desire to have God's answers be designed by us?  Is God our God, or are we, the measure of all things? Man being the measure of all things is not a new concept. Man doing what is right in his own sight, is not a new concept according to the book of Judges, 1 and 2 Kings and all throughout the Bible. Ancient Greece operated in humanism where man was the measure of all things. The Greeks were influenced daily, by many, pesky, man-made gods. Today's humanism ignores it's Creator and touts materialism. The influence of money advances man- made false gods to include:sports figures, actors, and actresses. We hide people who buy and sell sex, sell children and kill babies as birth control even in some of our hospitals. Some become famous for selling sex tapes and these are just a few of today's abominations. Humanism becomes almost a religion. Truth, prayer, care for one another, human dignity all become "by lines," overshadowed by the business of staying "busy" and making money. What has become of love one another as God loves us? Putting one another ahead of ourselves? Keeping God first?

Father of all creation, Maker of the earth and sky, Founder of every galaxy, Designer of the unseen reality that comprises the seen, Author of life, Lover of our souls, it is to You we come to form and inform our prayer. We repent from the traps of humanism and materialism. Cause us to use social media to faith build and encourage one another. Cause us to reach across the globe using electronic media for prayer requests, missionary support, spreading the gospel good news of salvation, hope and love. Make us able to share in Your love from the moment we awake. We seek to dedicate our waking hours to Your will and follow You. Thank YOU for Your presence, our Indweller the Holy Spirit Himself; for our living LORD JESUS, the living word. Move us, redirect us, correct us, prompt our prayers and walk Your love right out of us into others every day. More of You and Less of us, Please!!!

We pray peace to Israel and hope to all under enemy fire. May the plots of the wicked backfire upon them. We see you are accomplishing Your plan for the ages. Please build our faith that we might be found faithful as we see governments fall; we see people power struggle; we see people suffer and we see harshness become more prevalent. Christians are being beheaded today by radical islamists we call ISIS. We look to Your face. We see You are over all we are under. That You never promised us evil- free living. You promise never to leave or forsake us. We love You lord and depend on Your leadings, especially today when it is so dark. Lead us to the rock which is higher. Jesus is our rock. We are happy, no matter our circumstance because You are our LORD and YOU fail not. You do all things well. You are holy and Your ways are NOT OUR WAYS, they are higher, deeper, broader and ETERNAL. Thank You for Your word and Your plan for the ages. Thank You for our breath, heart
beats and life in Christ. Thank You for Grace, especially now, as we understand Your holiness and Grace more and more each day. Yes in You we are happy. Outside of You is simply sin. In the matchless name of Jesus we ask all these things and tell You what we see. May we now say, THANK YOU GOD FOR ALL YOU ARE DOING THAT WE CANNOT YET SEE. Amen.
