Losing Directions and Getting off Track.

Sometimes we get lost. Why? We move out of Bible study, prayer time or simply avoid the Spirit's leadings. This results in our going our own fleshly way. Then, boom! We've fallen off a cliff or suddenly have VOLUNTARILY stepped off track. I think it's partly rebellion, exhaustion, fear and unbelief that fuel lots of our wrong moves. That's when we move out of the Spirit and into the flesh. So, in order to hear God, we must stay close to Him and be able to recognize His voice by His words. How? By being in the word, prayerful and faithful. Getting lost is the result of bad decision making and  disobedience. We stray from wisdom and volunteer for folly.

"Cease listening to instruction, my son,
And you will stray from the words of knowledge." Proverbs 19:27

"In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:6

May we act with wisdom and ACKNOWLEDGE, the Creator of KNOWLEDGE, think, pray, listen and then decide. Amen.

Father of all knowledge, Designer of everyone's path, Knower of everyone's thought patterns and FREER from all made made snares and traps. It is to YOU we come to form and inform our prayer. Cause us more daily Bible time, to memorize Your word so that we recognize Your voice among all the other voices competing for our attention. Then please give us the obedience of Jesus Himself, that we will trust and obey only YOU. Simply put, You are telling us to "LISTEN and DO" Your word, Your way so that while on earth, we experience Your glorious living arrangements. Living in a finely furnished, lavish, earthly home is NOTHING compared to Your kingdom furnishings of wisdom, knowledge, love, peace, compassion, mercy and victory. Further, You furnish us with treasure and spiritual gifts which allow us to become, daily "overcomers" as You "overthrow" our enemy.  Daily, You equip us with promises that enable us to faith-fully face every DIVINELY DESIGNED earth experience, hard or easy, good or bad.

John 10:4 "And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will be no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." Jesus' words here tell me how well He knows us, Father God!  That according to Jesus, knowing His voice, staying close enough to Him to hear Him, will save us from becoming lost or getting off track. Either we let Him lead or chances are, we will lose direction and probably end up at a deadend. Oh Father, help us see our sheeplike natures as clearly as You do!!! Cause us to stay close to You. We need You and Your perspectives always.

Thank You for having my own earthly Dad give me Your perspective, during a difficult family crisis happening very far away. He said, "Remember daughter, just for now we are eternal beings having an
earthly experience." Oh Father God, thank You for teaching me to listen to my Dad.

Thanks also for continuing to teach me how to hear You and to truly listen for You and Your voice. Thank You so much for being so revealing and HOW YOU WANT US to know You, hear You and be with You. There is none like You. Love You Lord. Thanks for Jesus and the Person of the Holy Spirit, our Indweller and Helper. We ask in the matchless name of Jesus for peace to Israel. Amen and Amen.
