Tending to the Vine, as the Vine attends, defends and befriends us.

"As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, The Holy Spirit said,". . . . . Acts 13:2a

My ideas about "ministering" to God -
I love this. As we serve God with our whole hearts, seeking His ideas before deciding anything,
seeking what His heart might be feeling, before we decide to support this idea or that ministry,
when we put Him first before rising out of bed in the morning by dedicating our faith to Him, letting Him know that this is the day the LORD has already made, that we will rejoice and be glad in it from Psalm 118:24 letting Him know that WE BELIEVE HIM, WE LOVE JESUS and that GOD DOES ALL THINGS WELL and we depend on HIM, not politics, people or policies. No, only God, only always, Yes and Amen.

Fasting and DrinKING-
I like to do liquid fasting, juices, coffee, water, smoothies and simply 'drink' in my own symbolic way. I decide to NOT to eat for a time,  and just drink "in" the Holy Spirit Himself. Cozying up with Him in an effort to focus solely on Him, His plans, purposes and promised path for me. I like give up my usual eating, to just open my body, heart, mind and spirit to Him, wanting to surrenderedly LIVE in His unbroken flow of faith and love. "SURRENDEREDLY" is a word I made up and what I try to do.
ThinKING and Praying-
Like to ask Him to form and inform my prayers. To define all issues for me. To fairly describe all my missed understandings, sins, poor judgments and any condemnation that might loom about my heart.
Seems praying is like a heart-bath, a mind-cleanse and a spirit boost.
SeeKING through Bible Reading-
Now here is where I seek to hear His voice. He speaks to us in His word, using His words. Simple. The Bible is inerrant, God-breathed into men who LISTENED to Him over the centuries and wrote everything He told them. This is clearly demonstrated in the perfect harmony we find from Genesis to Revelation. Truly, SUPERNATURAL words. The best selling "book" of all time. Why? Jesus. Who? Jesus is. What? Jesus is the living word. Jesus speaks, our living LORD through the Bible. Oh. Thank You God, that all we like sheep can understand the simple majesty of Your endless, eternal love if we SIMPLY OPEN YOUR WORD TO OUR OPEN HEARTS.

I give thanks that I can hear God and so can you.  He's always ready to speak to us. Just prayerfully ask Him to speak to your heart and then read His word until He does. He wants us to hear Him. That's the bigger "want." Isn't that awesome? God is so revealing that He sent us His only SON, Jesus, that we might SEE Him, KNOW Him, BELIEVE Him and further that we might KNOW HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US by SENDING JESUS to SAVE US ALL.
Jesus is SALVATION, the KING for all to see, who came as Jew to the Jew first and by awesome grace grafts all the rest of us into Himself, the true Vine,

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you." John 15:1-4a

"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5

I am so grateful that God Breathed. God breathed just like us and not at all like us. That's our Jesus, fully human and fully God, so that we can fully know Him. Thank You God.
