FEARING, RIGHTLY is a GOOD THING.

"The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25

GOOD GODLY FEAR:
"Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

"Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth.  The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.  My eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net." Psalm 25:12-15

WRONG FEARLESSNESS:
"An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flatters himself in his own eyes, When he finds out his iniquity and when he hates. The words of this mouth are wickedness and deceit; He has ceased to do good." Psalm 36:1-3

Dear God who sees, who knows what we think before we think it, who helps us decide rightly and helps us obey, show us the right and good, strong and powerful Godly good way to Fear only You. Your holiness is beyond us yet within us by Your Holy Spirit, our Indweller. For this taste of holiness we thank You and ask You to form and inform this prayer. Grow our spirits in strength, power, faith, love and compassion. Smite us with Your wisdom and TRAIN OUR EYES ON YOU. We seek to view no worthless things as You warn in Psalm 119:37-38 "Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way. Establish Your word to Your servant, who is devoted to FEARING You." I want to fear rightly in all goodness.
Lord, I want to be this sort of servant with Your word established to me, with devotion to fear only You. Please forgive me when I focus my eyes on the wrong, worthless things of life, such as a political policy, an unlovely person, or parts of myself that seem unlovely.  So sorry. Often I complain about such things which seem so big and permanent to me, yet to You they are vaporous and passing away!! Oh what time and energy I have wasted. Thank You in advance God for quickening my awareness of this worthless pursuit.  May I be made instantly prayer-aware when watching television news. Turn my outrage and complaints into compassionate POWERFUL PRAYING. Only You can do this for me Father. Remove all small, worldly opinion from me and replace it with Your otherworldly, perfect and all encompassing views. I want "bigness" of thought and to pray even bigger. I believe this is Your will for us, to be made a massive army of ceaseless prayers today. We ask peace to cover Israel. Thank You. Amen.
