Our intellect is terminal, part of our flesh and quite limited.
Our spirit is eternal, part of soul and quite unlimited.
God is wholly separate from sin and evil, because He is holy.
There is only one God, the God of the Bible.
These are life lessons my lifelong love for God has brought, has taught and sometimes fought. I don't understand why He allows the beheading, torturing, crucifying, shooting of babies, burying alive and worse that is happening today.
Judgment is coming and so is Deliverance, Rapture and more.
God help us keep proper perspectives. Thank You for Your presence, Your promises, Your holiness which is only partially "knowable" for us right now. For now we see dimly, but one day face to face…
"We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but now destroyed" 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but that the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him." 2 Corinthians 5:6-7
"Life is not a cake walk.
Life is a faith walk."
Another "caught thought" I think God just brought, while studying.
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us." 2 Corinthians 4:7
We have the SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH.
"And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, .." 2 Corinthians 4:13a
God of all. Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. You put Your word above Your name. We give You thanks for putting it into us, by the teaching abilities of Your Holy Spirit and our personal Friend, Jesus. Thanks for speaking to us. Help us hear You, trust and obey You. Make us pleasing to You. Help us always. Thank You for Your presence, that You are with those about to enter heaven from the battlefield, from the hospital bed, or from wherever they are now. You see each one. Cause unbelievers to choose to believe You before they die, as we know You want none to perish. Help believers, those with faith only in You, to see past the horrors of now, and like Stephen, shine for You in their last moments. Thank You for saving Saul the terrorist, and turning him into Paul the apostle. Equip those who can help, to help and the rest of us to pray. May those terrorists who will be saved, lay down their weapons and to turn to You now, God of all. Help us to know more about the same spirit of faith, that we have according to the scriptures. We pray peace to Israel. Amen.
