Trusting in Shadows or Trusting in the Light? One brings humiliation, one brings honor.

"Woe to the rebellious children," says the LORD;
"Who take counsel, but not of Me,
And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit,
That they may add sin to sin;
Who walk to go down to Egypt
And have not asked My advice,
To strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh,
And to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
Therefore the strength of Pharaoh
Shall be your shame,
And trust in the shadow of Egypt
Shall be your humiliation."
Isaiah 30:1-3

"Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help,
And rely on horses,
Who trust in chariots because they are many,
And in horsemen because they are strong,
But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel,
Nor seek the LORD! Isaiah 31:1

"Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit.

Pastor Chuck's footnote for Isaiah 34:16 says: In talking about the great tribulation, Isaiah in essence says, "When all this happens, pick up this book and read. It will all happen." What other book can do that? If God says it, it will happen.

Search from the book of the LORD, and read:
Not one of these shall fail;
Not one shall lack her mate.
For My mouth has commanded
it, and His Spirit has gathered them.
