ARMED and on ACTIVE DUTY or UNARMED and AWOL…...

"God, help us understand the true nature of spiritual warfare. That by faith, we are either ARMED and on ACTIVE DUTY or UNARMED and AWOL." That we enlisted when we volunteered to trust Jesus. Then the battle began - to follow Him or not, to let Him lead or not, to let Him fight for us or not……and then there's the issue of surrender…….."
A Veteran's Day thought I caught, after receiving devotional message from an officer at sea today.
BE STRONG IN GRACE.
"You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hard working farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things." 2 Timothy 2:4-7
