"For who is like Me?
Who will arraign Me?
And who is that shepherd
Who will withstand Me?" Jeremiah 49:19e
"For who is like Me?
Who will arraign Me?
And who is that shepherd
Who will withstand Me?" Jeremiah 50:44e
"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job 13:15
"No one is so fierce that he would dare stir him up.
WHO THEN IS ABLE TO STAND AGAINST ME?" Job 41:10
(I understand this passage to refer to God's sovereign power over Satan)
After all of Job's trials, torturously painful physical and spiritual testing, after all this period of loss and pain, Job's conclusion is one of my all time favorite Bible verses, Job 42:2. After God asks Job dozens of questions, bringing Job into a sound perspective of His holy ways, Job answers God saying:
"I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You."
God of all GRACE, Maker and Mover of mountains, Sender of Your word and our Everpresent Helper Your Holy Spirit Himself, Giver of Your Son, Jesus, who obediently suffered and died to cleanse us from all our sins it is to You we come and we sincerely, hallow Your holy name. Thank You for salvation, that we are no longer encased in sin. We are free by grace, with forgiveness and by being repentant. Thank You. We could not defeat sin's hold on us. Jesus did it for us. Thank You. So we worship You with praise and thanks without measure. Your will is all we want. Please never tire of reminding us, WHO is in control, by drawing us into Your word, daily. Thank You for Your ready word to us, for the reading, or asking. Awesome access. Awesome.
Please grow our faith, our dependence upon the Holy Spirit and develop our prayer awarenesses. We seek to trust You only, and to lean not on our own understanding. We desire to have no more "grip wars" where we try to loosen Your grip on something, and then take things into our own hands. Thank You for Your gracious love, patience and PURPOSES. May we serve You wisely, knowing that nothing is random or beyond You. All things are possible with You. Things get a little impossible when we try to do things without checking in with You. Sorry. Change our prayers, causing them to splash into Your own. Thank You for changing us. We pray peace to Israel today. We ask and pray these things in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
