Sin and Christmas.

Was thinking about the baby Jesus, His precious hands, His precious blood and God's all powerful plan of redemption for you and me. Then I began to see one of the major reasons for Christmas, your sin and mine. We need saving. There is life in our blood and there is eternal life in the blood of Jesus. Jesus had to become fully human while remaining fully God in order to conquer sin and death for all, for all time. None of us can save ourselves. Sin is too strong to fight alone. God fights, cancels and defeats sin for all time on the cross by the shed blood of Jesus. Christmas came for many reasons, maybe firstly because of sin.

Do you think, you, according to your "sin" meter, that you are NOT a sinner? If you think you are not a sinner you are thinking wrong. Everyone sins. You're not exempt. Sin touches us all since the days of Adam and Eve. None of us know all there is to know about sin, yet we are all pretty expert at sinning. It seems to me that we are equally sinners, and equally saved. We are saved by Jesus, who came to us as a baby, the baby of Christmas.

Sin truths:
"all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23
"For there is not a just man on earth who does good, And does not sin." Ecclesiastes 7:20
"Thus with your mouth you have boasted against Me and multiplied your words against Me; I have heard them." Ezekiel 35:13
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Hebrews 10:31
Sin separates us from God, sends us to hell and will keep us there eternally. There is only one way out of landing in hell. Jesus. Trust and obey Jesus and head toward heaven. Choose to trust and obey yourself, the world, the flesh, or the devil and you have chosen hell.

My Christmas prayer:
God, we are so grateful You sent Baby Jesus, whose whole life is our model. He is Your express image, our vision of You and He shows us how to love, fear, walk and serve You. He is the living word. Thank You for Christmas, Easter and Heaven. These realities are unknown to many. Salvation is available to everyone in the whole world by choice. You want none to perish. Would You send Your gift of freedom of choice to all those who will choose salvation. You see into the drunkest drunk, the highest addict and into the most hateful beheader; into the doomed, imprisoned children awaiting the harvesting of their organs and into the women of slave traders held in every nation and into every wall street trader and earthly politician who consider illegalities to be acceptable behavior. You see into and hear every person who chooses sin over You. Father, we ask that they choose salvation. Please show them the the true power of God given CHOICE. Help them BY FAITH and Your grace, to choose strength, eternal freedom and the abiding hope we have in Christ. We know You want none to perish, that all can receive forgiveness, do repentance and become restored and renewed by faith in Christ. We pray peace to Israel with thanks and with anticipation of Your next major global event! Happy BIrthday Jesus with all our love, faith and hope. Amen.
