The Truth about Death:
Believers don't experience spiritual death. Sunday morning, our pastor taught that, "death is like going to sleep after a bad day and waking up to a perfect day." This is what we believe. God gives us our first breath and our last breath. He numbers our days and has thoughts toward us too numerous to count, which are much higher than our thoughts. Through Jesus, we have eternal life. Through Jesus, death has lost its sting.
The Fear Monster from Hell:
It's most important that we feed our faith and starve the fear monster out of business. We must be very honest about WHERE we feed. Do we feed on God's faithfulness or Satan's false claims?
Where does the fear monster feed? The monster of fear, feeds and gains its strength from our disobedience, our prayerlessness, and our closed Bibles. This monster can lead us very close to unbelief. The fear monster often masquerades as wisdom, disturbing a peaceful night of sleep, with frightening thoughts of doom and gloom. The fear monster is vulnerable and can be killed instantly. Just saying the name of Jesus can send this sinister monster back to the pit of hell that spit him out. Faith chases all fear away, instantly.
Power Source of God's Word:
Sources are important. Satan is the source of fear, doubt and worry. Fear, doubt and worry are never from God. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND." 2 Timothy 1:7. God is the source of all that is true, good, noble and pure as we're told throughout chapter four of Philippians. Sources matter. The Bible teaches that trouble from the wicked will come. Our battledress is the armor of God described in chapter six of Ephesians. Our battle readiness is developed by God as we study spiritual warfare. He enlists us by faith and the power of His word, constantly interceding and interrupting evil. He leads us. We must follow and never fearfully, run ahead of Him. His battle plan wins. The victory is already His. Our power source is God's word.
"Don't be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence and keep your foot from being caught." Proverbs 3:25-26
Thanks that by You, we can be found faithful. We pray peace to Israel and ask these things in the matchless name of Jesus, who understands us better than we will ever understand ourselves. Thank You God for You, loving us. We decidedly seek, to love You rightly, our Father and our Greatest Friend. Amen.
