Encouragers build. Discouragers destroy. Encouragers appear like Him. Discouragers appear like sin.
Then the messenger who had gone to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying,
"Now listen, the words of the prophets with one accord encourage the king. Therefore please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak encouragement." 2 Chronicles 18:12
Father of Encouragement, You empower, enlist and engage with such perfection!! Thank You for commanding us to speak encouragement. We live in courage, because Jesus lives in us. You give us no reason to cower, be cowardly, fearful, doubtful or overflowing worry. You fight our battles. You give us battledress, heavenly armor, dangerous weapons like the sword, Your word, which cuts right through matters of eternal life, and eternal damnation. You fight for us, while we keep silent, per Exodus 14:14. You do all, the impossible, the hard and the small. You are amazing.
You love the world so much, You sent us Jesus, who voluntarily paid our sin debt on the cross. Sin is colorless and found in every nation. Every nation matters as much as every other. You are impartial, unconditional and cannot lie. You made us one race, the human race. You made us all have the same color blood and hearts. You fill us up. Help us empty out ourselves so that we can with all courage, for all our days, speak of Your great love and spread the gospel until our very last breath.
Would You daily remind us of the grand power, great goodness and effective reach of Your kindness and gentleness? May we never be found pushy, argumentative or self-defensive. Help us, Oh God!!!
May we be found faithful during these crushingly, oppressive and deceit-filled days. We are a bit weary, so we ask You for daily renewals of our physical and spiritual strength. We want to serve You courageously and well. We want to speak, encouragement, never discouragement. We ask peace to Israel in the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
