The Call. Who's calling? Who's calling, who? Why?
Not every call is for us, or from God. Satan is a great mocker and impostor. May we discern rightly.
God's ways are higher. His terms are higher, better and impartial. His terms are divine, power packed and purpose oriented. God's calls are His, having a beginning, middle and end according to His purpose. "Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
Father of all humanity, Creator of all that is, was and will be, it is to You we come to form and inform our prayers. Teach us how to pray about what matters. May all else fall away from our thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams. Please define according to Your terms what truly matters. We don't want to evaluate human needs, by human terms, but by higher, spiritual, more comprehensive terms, Yours.
Help us be Bereans and evaluate all Bible teachings by searching Your word for ourselves, but not "by ourselves". May we be mightily led and taught rightly, by the Holy Spirit Himself. May we hide Your word in our hearts so that we rightly discern each call, answering only those calls, addressed to us!
Help us to answer Your calls to us, and to stay out of Your calls to others. Help us know the difference. Help us run with You, in our own lane all the way to the finish line. We desire to finish strong, faithful, prayerful and pleasing to Your mighty heart. Teach our ears the very sound of Your voice as You write Your word on our hearts and minds. May we be clear headed, pure hearted and Spirit led. We, Your sheep, need to heed Your word. Help us heed and do it. We pray peace to Israel in the matchless name of Jesus and ask Your special hand of strength and faith on the persecuted church. Please free Saeed. Thank You, Amen.
