In moments of contemplation, I usually see at least two paths into the future. One is labeled the WORRY WAY and one is labeled the WORD WAY. One path has Satan standing at the onset, and the other path has Jesus standing at the onset. I've found that a key component to faith, is freedom of choice. God is all about choice. We may choose to believe or remain in unbelief. Worry is unbelief. The relief for unbelief, is belief. Simple. Either we worry in the words of our own thoughts, or we choose to walk in the well lit path, standing on and by His word. We're never left helpless or hopeless.
"Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass." Joshua 21:45 Jesus is the Way and the Living Word. God keeps it simple for us since we are all as sheep, each needing our shepherd to keep us. Jesus is the Good Shepherd and all we truly need.
God, thanks for the ability to think, and for freedom of choice. You allow us to walk pathways of faith or to head into the rocky road of fear, doubt and worry. We seek to please You first. Help us trust and obey. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil. For You are the glory, the power and the Lover of our Souls forever. We love and need You always. Please flood our thought wars with overcoming faith in Your word. May Your word drown out competing thoughts for our attention! Amen.
