Shooters protect or kill, with guns. The problem and the solution, is with the shooter, not the gun.
Guns are not violent. People are. The human race is under attack by sin. Guns don't shoot without a human decision to shoot. The problem isn't guns, bombs, knives or poison. The problem is sin.
Until this becomes common sense, the second amendment to the Constitution will be under fire. But that's nothing new to Bible-believing Christians. What's been under fire since the Garden of Eden, is the fact of, human sin. Sin is real. Sin has no part with light, goodness or holiness. Sin causes murder and is evil. Guns are not evil. Sin is. Hate is sin. Anger is sin. Picking up a gun with motives of hate, anger or murder is sin. Sin is not complicated. Anytime we put our own will, over God's will, we sin. Yes it is a power struggle, a spiritual power struggle to sin or not to sin. Everyone is vulnerable to sin. The human race is under continual attack by sin.
There is good news, which is the gospel of Jesus Christ who came to save us all from our sins. It is our sins that nailed Him to the cross. We can blame no one for His torturous death, but ourselves. It is His love for us, those not even born yet, that kept Him up on that cross until He defeated sin and death for all, for all time. This is the greatest truth ever told. Believe that Jesus is who He says He is, and the we are who He says we are, sinners in need of saving. He is savior of the world. "For God so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
The Bible inspires good prayers to pray against all evil…."The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised." Psalm 10:2, So today I pray:
Everlasting Father, Maker of heaven and earth, Knower of all that is just and unjust, King and bringer of judgment, please Father, may the plots of the wicked backfire upon them, according to YOUR holy, perfect and most High will. We ask this in the name of Jesus and for His sake, for Your love of the whole world and wanting none to perish. Amen.
