I love God's answers are often questions, like those found in chapters 38 and 39 of Job. I love how God's word takes us out of the shallows and into the depths of His mind, His heart and speaks repeatedly of His greatest desire, than none will perish.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." John 3:16-21
Heavenly Father,
We pray for the persecuted church all over the world, in our own home towns and those even in churches who silently scream prayers of help to You, the One who hears and sees all. We ask for captives be set free for the sake of Jesus and all who love them. We give thanks for the weaponry of prayer. May we yield it rightly and mightily by Your strategic hand. We can only imagine the watched suffering You, alone can see. The suffering You endured as Jesus accomplished the defeat of sin and death for all, for all time. You want none to perish.
We thank You for shielding us, yet for revealing what we are to see. Break our hearts with what breaks Your heart and gladden our hearts with what makes Your heart smile. Please continue growing our compassionate hearts and for keeping us "prayer aware" throughout this present darkness. Your Presence lights the darkest corner of the most evil prison when Your own are held captive. You hear prisoners sing as You put songs on their hearts - often sung to You just before their executions.
May all doubters, haters and worse, receive the good news of Jesus' substitutionary death, sin payment and resurrection so they give their lives to Him before it is too late. Only Jesus could pay the most powerful sin debt ever wrought, throughout time. Jesus is so mighty. Boost all suffering hearts.
Thank You for all we do not know, and that there is no thing beyond Your knowing. Our joy is somewhat chained with those in chains YET we all smile at the future - mindful that Jesus paid it all, was resurrected and lives today never to separate us from Him, providing believers with eternal life. . We serve, trust and obey the King. Amen.
