Because WE SEE and OTHERS MAY NOT SEE….we have much to do, CHEERFULLY.

Love how we learned in Sunday's message that Hebrews 10:19-25 summarizes Hebrews chapters 1 through 10. It is loaded with gold! Here is some of my takeaway, a crucial call to action.

ACTION Summary
"Draw near, hold fast and stir up"
"let us" is a call to personal action to an instructional call

OUR ACTION HERO
10:19 Jesus
10:19 "a new and living way" - OUR AVENUE
10:19 our Consecrator - our cleanser
10:19 the veil is His flesh - our ACCESS
10:19 High Priest - our ADVOCATE

ADDRESS
10:19 Brethren, means this was written to fellow Christians
10:19 Having boldness describes the boldness we are given as believers to be of Cheerful Courage and Cheerful Confidence.
10:19 by the blood of Jesus refers to His death to sin becoming our access to enter His holiness
10:20 the veil=Christ's flesh, Jesus alone is the point of entrance into God's presence; He is the door.

DRAW NEAR
10:22 let us draw near with a true heart, with full assurance of faith in God (describes our personal faith walks)
10:22 sprinkled from an evil conscience=talks to our spiritual cleansing, salvation, OT sacrificial sin offerings personified by Jesus sacrificial death, purifying our "insides"
10:22 bodies washed with pure water=talks to the purifying of our "outsides" reminds me of baptism and the refreshing wash of the Holy Spirit's flow all over us from head to toe; also reminds me to dress by putting on Jesus and our armor spoken of in Ephesians 6
HOLD FAST
10:23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering for He who promised is faithful
talks to our conduct toward the world, that we are in HOPE, who is JESUS, presenting hope to the hopeless, helpless, faithless, downhearted and unstable - a cindism from long ago: "Believers come from a stable Background" as Christ was born in a manger and His stability is what a shifting, dark and uncertain world is craving - LET US HOLD FAST HOPE and be in Him all day, in every way
because of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world…." - so He equips us in Himself to spread His good news, His stabilizing gospel of saving, forgiving, eternal, sin free, unconditional, impartial love!!!!!
STIR UP - love and good works, not stir up trouble or stir up self promoting interests
10:24 let us consider one another - keeping God first, put each other before ourselves, invest time thinking of others, being thought full of everyone else before yourself
10:24 speaks to our conduct toward the church - doing 1Corinthians 13 love.
Why consider one another? 10:24 in order to stir up love and good works.
How: 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together and by exhorting one another
Why increase exhorting one another? because WE SEE the Day approaching.

Because WE SEE the Day approaching implies OTHERS MAY NOT SEE the Day approaching. God wants none to perish. People will not draw near to worried, burdened, sighing, troubled, crushed, beaten, sad, scared, uncertain, unstable and angry Christians. Christ in us, will transform our reactions to today's planet on fire, into authentic cheerful confidence in Him, in His word and in the FACT that things are NOT FALLING APART. He is bringing everything to pass, His way according to Him. He's God and we are not. We have never had such a great set of flaming circumstances within which we now live, where we can offer living water to the thirsty and burning; where we can offer the meat of God's word to the hungry and unsatisfied; where we can present Christ's saving love with unconditional, impartial all inclusive love even to enemies who are doing evil to Christ's own. Because WE SEE, and OTHERS MAY NOT SEE or at least not yet,  we've been instructed and commanded how to live. We have been given insight, far sight and are kept within His sight. What a relief. One day every knee will bow….

All seeing, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Heavenly Father, we give thanks for Your all seeing, all knowing, all mighty ways. We thank You for calling us to action, instructing us, indwelling us and placing us on pathways where You have already gone. We worship Your saving heart, that You want NONE to perish. That You have left us here to spread with Cheerful Confidence our Hope is You. With Cheerful Courage given us today, we can boldly display You silently or when speaking, we can use our words to point to our King especially when speaKING.
We are seeKING to serve You today with our living, our speaKING and our abiding solidly in HOPE.
We pray peace to Israel, salvation for persecuted Christians, freedom for imprisoned Christians and salvation even for our enemies. Thank You for saving us. In the matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
