Remembering to Ask.

Encouraging Humility. God does that for us. Why? Humility precedes Holiness.  So what does God do? He encourages humility. Reminds us to trust and obey. Reminds us to ask Him how to pray, and then to pray. Even pastors sometimes tell God what to do in prayer. Wrong order of business.

Learning how to pray, serve God, observe His word and do it, is something I've been at for almost 50 years now. Am getting better at NOT trying to help God, or advise Him in prayer. Am devoted to having Him form and inform my prayer so that it may splash into the heavenly flow of intercession Jesus makes on our behalf, ceaselessly. I want to dive into His holy intercessory flow.

Father of all that is good, true, noble and just we ask You to form and inform our prayer. Thank You that Jesus prays ceaselessly for us, interceding with holiness we cannot yet know. We love You God. Help us to trust You more. Thank You for all the times we've told You what to do in prayer, or described something to You with total ignorance and no accuracy at all,  just laying a want or need before You without asking You how or what to pray. We want to grow more holy. Make us ask You, listen, hear and do as You say, as You teach us to pray, everyday and in every way. Thank You. Amen.
