Look around you and become oppressed.
Look inside you and become depressed.
Look to Jesus for perfect peace and rest.
Jesus loves to lift us, gift us and shift us.
Be lifted with just the right look, look to Him.
Look to Jesus and move onward and upward.
These are words I remember of a song from my children's childhood. There is such power in our decisions, priorities and even where we place our "private eyes" when we self evaluate.
Father of heaven, King of Salvation, Helper, Friend and all powerful God, You are the one and only God. We worship You and depend on You more and more every minute. God, would You remind us to thank You for our "private eyes" that we might use them well. You give us insight, foresight, hindsight and eyesight. You also give eyes to our hearts, minds and spirits. We can see into Your heart and mind through our Helper, the Holy Spirit Himself, and we can see, all is good. Please remind us that You are all that is real. That there is invisible reality everywhere and our spirit's are the eternal part of us, which last forever. You are marvelous, and too wonderful to fully understand, yet so abundantly revealing, that we can truly and deeply, KNOW You! Knowing God! Thank You Father. Thank You for such mysteries.
Thank You for 2015 and the coming of 2016. Please allow us to celebrate the incarnation of Jesus as never before. That love was born on Christmas morn with public eyes and private eyes, which see today and yesterday, much more clearly than we now see.
God, it's our Christmas prayer that our private eyes would be continually fixed on You until we see You face to face! Cause us to walk in perspective, in the Person of Christ, abiding and sharing salvation. Keep us close as we behold You, Your Son and the glory of Your plan for man. In Jesus name, we pray peace to Israel. Amen.
