Enemies? Have none? Think again!

When reading through the Bible, I don't always connect with the verses talking about, "my enemies." I really have no haters or even uncomfortable, people in my life. Then the Holy Spirit enters my thoughts, and I realize, I have many enemies. My enemies are pride, prayerlessness, unbelief, misplaced trust, wrongly placed fear, anything that undermines abiding in the towering strength, of God's heart. Our enemies, cannot stand, against Jesus' NAME.

"Through You we will push down our enemies; THROUGH YOUR NAME we will trample those who rise up against us." Psalm 44:5. Here, David is referencing his fleshly enemies. Then David declares, "For I will not trust in my bow, nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies and have put to shame those who hated us. In God we boast all day long and praise Your NAME forever. Selah." Psalm 44:6-8 

Take away? Yes, we have spiritual, real enemies, seeking to destroy faith.Yes, through Jesus' NAME, we will push them down and trample those who rise up against us. Yes, in God we will boast all day long and praise Jesus' NAME forever.

A footnote thought.....AMEN and NAME are the same letters. In Revelation 3:14 we learn that AMEN is another name for Jesus, as is Faithful and True Witness. AMEN means TRUE. The NAME of JESUS is TRUE. AMEN AND AMEN!
